Had the surgery..now what?

Post a new topicby breezy95 on Sat May 31, 2008 1:36 pm

Hi, I am a 43 year old female. I have had urgency and stress incontinence for about 3 or 4 years. I have had enough. I went to my gyno for a check up, and he happened to ask me about my bladder. I told him I am wearing depends and pads. So annoying. I can't wear the clothes I want because the Depends are so bulky. Anyway he did a procedure on me called a TVT Prefyx. I had it done on April 25. Well, it's May 31, and I am still leaking. I am just wondering if anybody here knows about the Prefyx, should it be a quick fix, or is it going to take some time for me to really tell a difference? In a couple of weeks I will be allowed back to the gym, but not sure I want to go back if I gotta drag the Depends out again. I am taking medicine for the urgency control, which helps some, as I can sleep all night without getting up to go to the bathroom, where I used to get up at least 2 or 3 times a night. I want to go walking with friends after work, etc., and am still leaking. I wonder if anybody here has had this done, and can tell me if there is light at the end of the tunnel for it, is it going to get better with time? Is it different than a bladder tack? I don't know...thanks.
