First let me say the fact that you are staying active by walking is wonderful. My father was diagnosed over a year ago and went from a runner for 35 years to now walking as well. Because of ankle arthritis than the Parkinson's. But he does not get the symptom you described. It sounds to me like some type of freezing with is common with PD. My father also has not taken the medication as of yet. But I know the medication is supposed to help with these symptoms. I wish you the best and consider taking the medication, even though the side effects are not great, it may really help.
