Neuropathy

Post a new topicby Simone on Sat Sep 13, 2008 10:45 am

Back in March of 2002 my wife had severe problems with Neuropathy and I found the cure by using Gabapentin and Nortriptylne. Started taking 1200 now up to 2400 mg of Gabapentin - on Nortriptylne used to take 150 mg daily but now 100 as a pharmacy refused to fill as they said 150 was too much but I can get the amount I need now if 150 is what we need.

I have been also using Ibuprofen and occasionally Hydrocodene 7.5/500 but the problem is getting worse - went for years under control

The reading I have done indicates that I have been in error by giving her Ibruprofen as that has been found to be ineffective but that Vicodin and to a greater extent Oxydodone have been found to be very effective.

**The problem is in the small toes of both the right and left foot - not in calf - sometimes the big toe but not a lot and never both feet at the same time - Only has problem when laying down, never when walking and it occurs 2-3 times a week.

Do you have any suggestions?
