stage four lung cancer

Post a new topicby hailey on Tue Dec 01, 2009 9:21 pm

My aunt was told in mid Nov that she has cancer. I looked up her symptoms (tumor on chest and left leg, leg pain, loss of 50lbs in few months...) xrays cts mris.... confirmed lung cancer that has spread. No surgery option-only radiation and chemo. She starts chemo on Thurs Dec 3rd, 2009. I need to be prepared, but want my aunt to continue to 'think positive'. Everything I have read says we will have her with us from 3-8 months if chemo is tolerated. Has there been very many people who survived longer? What should we be doing now? So many questions, so little....
