I have heard that lung cancer can spread because of biopsy? My mom has had pet scan ,mri, and bronchial swab? they see small spot upper left lobe. I want to get her out to University of Washington Fred hutchinson cancer reasearch center should she wait for biopsy? Mom is 75 years old and has smoked since she was 12.She has been tested in Missouri where she lives.

My 16 yr old is undergoing testing for carcinoid(to name a few) and just yesterday we found out her CT is showing a 1.3 cm nodule that wasn't there 2 months ago. We are going to Washington UNiv this month but not to the Cancer part. Her drs are sending her to a Rheum dr

We have mom there now...she is staying in the seattle cancer center house. They have decided to do chemo radiation and new trial with pill that targets the tumor cells? How is your daughter? What is her name so I can send a prayer? It is very hard when this happens plus draining and scary. I have a 18 year old son.

My daughter is Mary and has not been diagnosed yet. Now her drs are saying they want to wait to send her anywhere til they figure out what the lung nodule is. Her repeat CT is the end of Jan.
I will say a prayer for your family as well. Christmas is not the time to have to think sad thoughts,

Mary is a good name!! Mine is Merry because I was born on Christmas. Please get a second opinion!! If it is cancer and it is fast growing than waiting is no good!! second opinion are free on most insurance policies. You only have one life it is important to move fast read a-lot and don't take no for an anwser!!!! there are many treatments out there most people have no idea about. Merry Christmas and I will say a big prayer for Mary!!! ;) Mom is trying to get approved for state aid to get turned down so UW charity kicks in till her Medicare part b starts??It is all so draining........
