My 9th Kidney stone

Post a new topicby livingwith on Tue Jul 22, 2008 12:22 pm

I am at home recovering from surgery to remove my 9th kidney stone. I told the doctors over 3 weeks ago I knew that the pain on the right hand side and back must mean I have another one. I did a ct-scan and it showed a stone but not in a place to cause pain is what the urologist said. I told him I know my body and it never takes this long to pass one so he sent me back to my regular dr. to find other reasons for pain, more bloodwork and then 5 days later there I was in the ER wit exactly what I ...Read the full article

Hi there, Im a newbie to kidney stones. Yikes my stent will have been in place for a month when they laser the stone. I dont understand how doctors can let people live with this awful pain. Right now its just the sensation of having to urinate constantly. Its driving me crazy. And can get painful. I havent left the house since they put the stent in. The doctor said there was an infection and he had to let things calm down before he goes back to do the laser. He has said the worse part is the stent removal so I am really worried, Id never had pain in my life like the bladder spasming. And I have had children and many surgeries. Nothing could cut the pain of bladder spasming. I wonder if everyone gets it. Good luck on your laser, youll probably be done with yours before I am. Also how long til they remove the stent after the laser? Janet
