my kidney stone

well I am a women and im 37 years old. I never suspected that i would get a kidney stone. I had heard of them but thought nothing of them. I started having some trouble urinating and kept feeling like I had a UTI I went to the doctor repeatedly only to be told no you dont have a UTI I finally went to a urologist who ran some tests and said i think you have over active bladder. They can do a 24 hour urine test to see if there is excess or insufficient elements in your urine like Calcium or Citrate. Also blood tests for Calcium and Parathyroid hormone can be done. If this is your first stone then you have a 50% life time chance of having another. Lemons contain Citrate a stone inhibitor so I have my patients drink at least 3 glasses a day. I do wonder why your husband , a nurse, has injectable pain medication in your home especially since these are usually narcotics and a controlled substance and why with out a doctors order he injected you.
