HELP me Understand

Post a new topicby nmartin10 on Wed Oct 15, 2008 11:30 pm

In 2006 I had 6 grand mal seizures with the worst having me end up with a broken nose. I had all sorts of tests run...72 hour eeg, mri mra and none of the tests indicated any activity. All of my seizures occured while I was on my menstral cycle and at night. The doc prescribed Keppra for me, which unknown to anyone I never actually took. Then for 2 years I had no seizures at all...I also got pregnant and had my son 4 months ago. Then out of nowhere last Monday night I had another seizure and this time fractured a vertebrae in my neck...now I am in a neck brace and suppose to be back to taking Keppra (everyone thinks I stopped taking it to get pregnant). i do not undertand this illness and why if there is something wrong with me nothing ever showed on my tests and for 2 years I took NO medication and had no seizures I really feel like there is nothing wrong, but know there has to be something because you don't just have a seizure for no reason. Again this seizure occured while I was on my monthly cycle. How is there something wrong with me, but no tests show it? Why does this keep happening to me. I know that I shoudl take the medicine...I keep hurting myself and am lucky that my broken neck isn't more serious...I am really having a hard time with this? Can anyone provide any clarity?
