Diverticulitis/ Diverticular Disease

I have had diverticulitis for the past 8 years. I am now having more frequent flare-ups and have opted to have surgery. My mother had the surgery and so did one of my brothers. They never had problems with this disease again.
I eat very healthy, but to no avail. I do not want to wait until a medical crisis occurs and then require emergency surgery. Will let you know how the surgery and recovery process goes.
