It took my parents 9 years before they received a diagnosis for me. Originally I was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and they were told I would never walk. My CP is considered "mild" so it was harder for doctors to recognize it. My mother was in a car accident and went into pre-term labor with me and I was breech. I have spastic diplegia and can walk but I have a limp and muscle weakness. The only advice I can offer is go with your gut (mom's know best!). I'm glad my parents never gave up on their gut feelings. :) I'm 28 now, married, have a 2 1/2 year old little girl and one on the way. :) I wish you and your daughter the best of luck!
