Do I Have Carpal Tunnel?I have been experiencing excruciating pain in my hands when I wake up. Mainly around my thumb area. The pain has been on-and-off though, never really consistent. Recently I have had pain running from my wrist to my elbow and my fingers are stiff. It hurts especially when I extend my hand backwards(my forearm). There is a lump that has formed in the crease of my elbow and I am not sure if that is related. It almost feels like a swollen blood vessel underneath a muscle. Not too sure though. I have had a history of typing and making pizza. Could that be the source of this? Please help.

Re: Do I Have Carpal Tunnel? Why or why not?
Sponsored LinksRe: Do I Have Carpal Tunnel?it ususal does not effect the thumb and does not cause any problems or changes in your elbow, good luck
Re: Do I Have Carpal Tunnel? With carpal tunnel you get pain in your hand, but your thumb and three of your fingers (doesn't effect pinkie) will feel a bit numb. The base of your thumb won't be in on that numbness.
Shooting pain up your hand to your elbow could mean you have a tightening of the myelin sheath. A good physical therapist could tell you. The lump can be significant. If it's a kind of hard nodule in your forearm near but not at the elbow, that's supposed to be there. If it's not that, tell your doctor. Best of luck to you.
