Hi my namme is Angie and I am 36 years old. I have heard so many stories about bunions that I don’t no what to believe. I have had bunions since I was young and I was definitely not wearing high heel shoes. My mother or my sisters do not have bunions and I can recall my mother wearing high heel shoes all her life and nwo she is 58. One thing that I do know is that all my aunts on my mothers side of the family have bunions including an uncle.

Hi Angie,
Find a good ortho surgeon and get the necessary correction done. I had my left foot done last year and actually look forward to having the right foot done next month. Once you walk and live without this chronic pain and inflammation, you will wonder why you waited. Remember, the healing is 6-8 weeks with internal fixation scres so crutches for two weeks followed by a "boot" for six more weeks. Welll worth the inconvenience. You'll be wearing cute sandals next spring. I developed this condition as a young child and my mom and aunt and cousins have it too. Good luck.
