Stories of Success!I would love to hear from many of the viewers that post on this website, if they are successful survivors of the many test and surgeries performed on prostate patients. What is a successful survivor? A successful survivor would be an individual who no longer had the urgent urge to urinate, to worry about wearing a pad, just in case , of an accident, etc. In other words, is your urinary process normal? Any takers?

I can post the experiences of two of my brothers, however. One was about 68 when he had the PVP, and he had mild burning sensation on voiding for a few days (week or so). It was his great outcome that inspired me to have my surgery. My older brother was about 72 when he had what I believe must have been TURP (he called it roto rooter), and spoke to me of total success a short time later ("I can put out a fire.") For me, having known of several through the years who have had the "roto rooter," and never having known of severe complications, I approached the procedure non-chalantly believing I would come home with no limitations, even though I knew there were some imposed on me. I fully expect to be able to post success later...after I get past some of the rough urgency, frequency problems now.
Re: Stories of Success!Yarslew, I agree with you, but who are the 107 viewers of this post?
