Since taking Flowmax for BPH I have had a burning sensation around the tip of my tongue. The prescription information sheet notes that a swollen tongue is an infrequent side effect of Flowmax but it doesn't mention a burning sensation. I am not sure that my tongue is swollen. An ear-nose-throat specialist whom I visited about this condition said that it is "burning tongue syndrome" and he doesn't know if Flowmax can cause it. I wonder if a urologist out there knows if burning tongue can be a side effect of Flowmax? Thanks.

I hadn't heard of the adverse effect, so I went back to the prescribing information handout, which you should have access to. There have been no reported cases of burning tongue with Flomax. Good luck and I hope that your symptoms resolve soon.
