Hello! I am 42 and was diagnosed with BP 3 weeks ago. It is very difficult for people to understand how it makes you feel. My kids and my husband don't understand at all. My colleagues at work say I'm a very strong person but they don't know I cry myself to sleep at night. For someone who is known for their smile... it's extremely difficult. I don't know how long you've been dealing with this but I'll just tell you what everyone is telling me. All my friends say that everyone they've known that has gotten Bell's has gotten over it. So I just hold on to that and pray. And I have wonderul people praying for me, too. I hope that by now you are seeing some improvement as it's been almost a month since your wrote. Take care!!

I cried too. alot. I never considered myself to be a vain person until this happened. I keep telling myself atleast I have a face, atleast it wasnt a stroke, all these things just made me feel even worse for being so selfish. I still cover my face when I laugh or smile because I feel uncomfortable. I noticed something lately though. I am sick of hiding it. So what if its a little lopsided and goofy looking. I dont care. And if people stare so what. Usually they stare and ask me what happened. After I answer they dont stare anymore. Just know that it will get better. I will pray for you too = )
