Hi there. I'm about a week behind you. Three weeks ago (8/4) I went to the doctor because I was having terrible terrible pain in the back of my head behind my ear. It started around noon on Sunday the 3rd and my the time I went to the doctor 8/5 I wanted to cut my head off. The doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong and prescribed a muscle relaxer. Well I started taking the muscle relaxer the morning of 8/6 and by lunch that day my colleagues at work were telling me that my eyes weren't blinking at the same time. I figured it was the muscle relaxer... that it was too strong for me. I decided not to take anymore and to call the doctor the next day. Well, the next day, 8/6, my face was completely paralyzed on the left side. I called the doctor that morning and asked if the muscle relaxer could do that. The said for me to come in right away. As soon as I got there, my doctor said he thought it was BP but wanted to make sure I didn't have a stroke or something. After checking me out, he prescribed Prednisone and gave me a B12 shot. Today is 8/25... three weeks since this all started. There has been no change whatsoever. I've been reading that seeing a chiropractor might help so I have an appointment this afternoon at 2pm. I'm nervous. I don't want to make things worse. But I am still having pain in the back of my head. Nothing like it was when this all first started. But I'm concerned that my nerve is still being damaged.

So I am like you. I'm having a hard time dealing with this. My daughter made my laugh yesterday and I happened to see myself in a mirror. I just started crying. I feel like I look like a freak. I just want this to be over. You are so much younger than me. I can only imagine how you feel being so young and in college. I am 42. So how are you? Are you better yet? If not, any improvement? Please let me know.
