athletes foot

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Jul 27, 2002 5:59 pm

I am 16 years old and 2 days ago, my feet
smelled and the skin behind my toes were itching when I took my shoes off. It's been hot and I have been swimming. Could that be the begining of athletes foot? My girlfriends are says that girls don't get that stuff and they swim and wear tennis shoes after they swim too. I've been keeping my feet in shoes because they smell and it's embarassing when I take them off and you can also see that the skin between and behind my toes are wet.

Any information will help. Thanks.

It is almost definitely athlete's foot and girls can get it. The white between your toes is the most typical area. You should try using a product from your local drug store like Lamisil or Tinactin. However, you should also see a podiatrist to be properly diagnsoed and treated. If you have not told you parents, make sure you let them know so they can help. Good luck and please write back with any future questions.
