chemical induced asthmahello. I recently became asthmatic around the chemical, MDI (Diisocyanate). I had chest tightness, closing off of the windpipe, difficulty breathing, wheezing, then when that was over it went to coughing for a good 15 minutes at a time. After being away from the chemical, I still have chest tightness at times.
I was sent for a Methacholine Challenge test. The tech doing the test said I was reacting on the 2nd dose of Methacholine. But when I got the results back from the doctor it said, "Good pT effort. 0.5 CC Albuterol/NACL Neb given post evl". Then under Interpretation of the doctor it said, "Normal baseline flow volume loop. No airway hyperreactivity detected. Negative Methacholine bronchoprovocation." If this is the case, why did the tech say I was reacting? And what does this mean as far as my asthma? Thank you in advance for your response.
